Nutcracker Details
Dancers learn choreography and will be placed in a piece that will be featured in our annual Nutcracker production.
Nutcracker auditions are required to perform in our enchanting show.
Auditions
Nutcracker Auditions are held annually in September at Platinum Dance in Edina, MN. You may enroll through your Parent Portal.
Saturday, September 27 ($25)
❅ 12:00 – 1:00 PM: Ages 3-5
❅ 1:15 - 2:30 PM: Ages 6+

Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held at Platinum Dance—rehearsal times and placements are announced the week after auditions.

Dress Rehearsal & Shows
Nutcracker dress rehearsals take place in December a few days before the show at a local theater near Edina. Show dates will be announced annually in mid-summer; show times will be announced after auditions and placements.

Participation Fee
A one-time all-inclusive participation fee includes rehearsal time, costume, tights, props, and accessories!
❅ Ages 3-5: $225.00
❅ Ages 6+: $250.00
Dress Code
❅ Girls: Any color leotard (with or without skirt), pink ballet shoes
❅ Boys: Black t-shirt & shorts, black ballet shoes
Ballet Shoes are recommended for auditions and REQUIRED for rehearsals/performance.
Black leotard or shirt is REQUIRED for headshot day.
Headshots will be occurring during the first day of rehearsal. If you do not own a black leotard or shirt, we will provide a black t-shirt for the photo.
