Fall 2017 – Summer 2018 Schedule

We do not offer registration online. You may download and print the Registration Form prior to attending classes.   Please fill out all required information and bring it with you on your first visit.  This will help speed up the registration process. Please review the requirements below.  Registration assumes you have read and agree to the requirements below.

Attire Requirements

SHOES:  STREET SHOES ARE NEVER ALLOWED IN DANCE ROOMS.  PLEASE REMOVE PRIOR TO ENTERING DANCE CLASS.  Depending on the recital dance teachers my change the style and/or color of the shoe. This will be discussed before January.

HAIR:  For all classes hair needs to be up and away from the face.  Hair must be in a bun for all Ballet classes ages 5+.  (Hair that is shorter than chin length must still be pulled back away from face).

Tiny Toes, & Slashy Classes:  May wear any color leotard or skirt and must have pink, black, or suntan tights.   Girls are to wear pink Ballet shoes and boys are to wear black Ballet shoes.  Black Tap shoes of any style may be worn for Tap class.  Black or Caramel colored slip on Jazz shoes are to be worn for Jazz class.

Ballet & Pointe:  Black leotard and pink tights (strictly enforced). Dancers under the age of 9 may wear an optional skirt and any color leotard.  Please stay away from wearing any undergarments.  Pink Ballet shoes are required (Canvas or Leather Only).  Pointe and Ballet shoes are required for Pointe.  Hair Must be in a bun.

Contemporary & Lyrical: Leotard, tights (optional), and black skirt or black dance shorts (optional) must be worn.  Shoes depend on the teacher, so please ask.

Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater & Technique: Any proper dance attire.  May wear tight tank and jazz capris or shorts. Shoes also depend on teacher, so please ask!

Tumble: Black leotard and black dance shorts (optional) must be worn. Shoes are not required.  We tumble barefoot.

Hip-Hop/Funk:  Comfortable dance attire.  Please wear either capris or shorts that are past the knee.  There is alot of floor work.  Black dance sneakers must be worn. NO JEANS.

Zumba:  Comfortable dance attire or work-out clothing allowed.  NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED. Please wear inside dance sneakers or gym shoes. For those in Zumba, you will want to bring a hand towel and water.

Dance level restrictions

All levels: Anyone in that age group may take.
Beginner:  Up to four years of experience in the class enrolled.
Intermediate: Four to Six years of experience in the class enrolled.
Advanced:  More than Seven years of experience with teacher /director consent.

Attendance Rules

Dancers who miss more than 8 classes will not be permitted to perform in the annual recital. Attendance is important to the dancer and his/ her classmates.  Competition Team dancers are not allowed to miss more than four classes to compete/perform.

Available Dance Styles

Tiny Toes:
Designed for the youngest dancer to dance on their own!  Dance to music and learn early dance moves in our half hour class. This class does not perform in the annual recital.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz (Slashy Classes)
Designed for young dancers to learn two styles of dance in one class. Dancers will perform at the annual recital in one style of dance. Must have shoes for each style of dance.

Dancers will learn high energy dance moves to popular music.

Jazz incorporates a variety of styles that borrows from ballet and develops stylistically.

Tap technique and repetition will be emphasized in this class. Emphasis is on rhythm, style, and clarity of sounds produced using tap shoes.

Ballet is a classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses.  Ballet is the foundation to every style of dance.  All dancers are encouraged to enroll in Ballet.

Pre-Pointe & Pointe:
Pre-Pointe is devoted to working on strengthening techniques to progress into Pointe shoes. Pre-Pointe students must be also enrolled in at least one Ballet class, two is highly recommended.


Dancers will learn a Pointe routine for the annual recital. The instructor will decide if a student is ready to take part in the class.  All  Pointe students must be enrolled in two Ballet Classes and have completed Pre-Pointe.    

Contemporary dance tends to utilize both the strong and controlled legwork of ballet and modern dance’s stress on the torso, and also employs contact-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristic of modern dance. Unpredictable changes in rhythm, speed, and direction are often used, as well. Students are required take a Ballet class when enrolling in Contemporary.


Lyrical dance is very similar to ballet, combining the many technical elements of classical ballet with the freedom, fluidity, expressiveness and airier aspects of jazz, contemporary and modern dance. Lyrical dance is expressive, simultaneously subtle and dynamic, focusing on conveying musicality and emotion through movement. Students are required take a Ballet class when enrolling in Lyrical.

This class will develop flexibility.  The student will use tumbling moves while dancing to music.  All tumbling is done on the floor on mats.  We will work on flexibility tricks, dance, and flips.

This class is designed for all students who would like to become more flexible and strengthen core muscles with an emphasis on dance technique. This class does not take part in the annual recital.

Musical Theater:
This class combines acting, singing, and dancing to classic and modern musicals from Broadway productions.  Dancers may need to learn various styles of dance.  The teacher decides which style for each class every year within the first few months.  Students will perform a musical theater piece at the annual recital.

Ballroom/Wedding Prep:

Ballroom lessons are all private lessons.

This class is for anyone who want to “Ditch The Workout And Join The Party!”.  Zumba is a dance fitness class.   NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!  This class will tone you and help you lose body fat. You can be in any shape to join this class.  Do what you can, or push yourself to the next level! THERE IS NO WRONG IN ZUMBA! All Zumba teachers are Zumba certified! An optional Zumba demo may be performed at the annual recital.
